Every employer and every person, including your husband, assumes that! Just wait till there’s some house emergency that requires several days of someone’s attention for a contractor or phone calls made.

It will always be the wife’s job/time sacrificed, no discussion needed by old hubby, unless he’s already working from home or has a flexible schedule.

Men marry women for an administrative assistant (and I mean assistant, ever notice how a man gets in a rowboat, puts on a hat, calls himself captain(!!) and his wife first mate?) for his life, and if he can get you under his thumb, he’s not gonna complain. They like that.
