Bc stories depict the good guys as handsome and the bad guys as ugly, people buy into this narrative: however, women, ugly OR beautiful are conniving & untrustworthy, so…just like Eve in the creation narrative, they just cannot be believed. They are weak/stupid at best and actively plotting the ruination of man as a default assumption, so…who cares if someone terrorizes and abuses them? Even if they didn’t deserve it in the moment, regular shots across the bow keeps everyone in their place.
