Thank you for your thoughtful response.

I can tell you have a lot of passion about this and have thought about it a lot. I don't disagree with anything you've said here.

I'm still so angry that people who wanted to feel seen fell for The Former Guy's line's about 'seeing' them, but I'm even angrier that the collective memory of being invisible for years (mostly as children/young adults) because of family situations and bad policies (for example shouldn't there just be school lunches, universal healthcare, headstart by default so everyone doesn't start off in the hole and go through humiliating forms, background checks, endless 3-month re-applications for these benefits and be exposed/stigmatized for being low-income)?

I'd love to know what you think.
