I do not believe any of the things you were referencing in your comment, but I have some relatives who do.

I feel bad for them, because it tells me how bad the cognitive dissonance would be for them to accept reality and then resolve their world view. It would be an existential crisis for them and shatter their intrinsic self as they recognize it. They are lost causes.

However, for the children in the family, I am the extra-nice aunt. I want them to come to me with anything and everything, and trusted and kind resource who would move heaven and earth to help them. Not an enabler, a competent adult who lives in reality.

This is my hearts and mind campaign to steal future MAGAs back. It's the only way. It's time-consuming and worthwhile, and a ground campaign.
