I agree with you.

If you’re actually poor, struggling, confused, angry, in a truly desperate situation and go to a place like this, and dare express it to one of the “spiritual leaders,” prepare for a condescending lecture on gratitude journaling or not being open to the lesson, all while you can’t afford to pay hospital bills, go to the dentist (bc who the eff ever knows what the actual cost will be?), or fix/replace/register your car?
People like that don’t get fucked around with constantly to begin with; predatory/systems prey on people who cannot afford to litigate. Vulnerable people are much easier targets and therefore, get treated with disrespect that privileged people never see, and often perpetuate.
