I liked this article & will watch this. I think about this all the time. My parents. Us. It’s really important for the non-poor to understand how so many people exist day-to-day, and that we allow it by tacit ignorance/support of our “laws.”

In America, add to this that the working poor do not have basic medical benefits & there is no way of knowing what your medical costs will be should you go in for care. A Canadian friend’s son hit his head while here on vacation & had to get a scan & a few stitches. They were very surprised to get a bill for almost $9K! They thought it was a mistake.

Wishes she had a gong, like on The Gong Show, but for stupid ideas (especially her own). Please don’t ask me what I think if you don’t want to know.
