My husband & I are extremely introverted, to the point that 5 minutes with visitors or visiting others we can’t wait for visiting time to be over…and we’ve wondered about this too. We are confused by the pointlessness of it? When my brother or his brother is visiting, the men start to brag about the “fantastic year” they’re having at work or how many expensive purchases they’ve made (comparing), and the wives fake-complain about expenses related to children.

We’re bored as shit and think they sound transparently…like approval whores trying to establish dominance or something. We just want it to be over.
