Reading the comments, I found myself thinking about the South Park episodes where Gerald was trolling people just because he liked getting them riled up. His strategy was to post obscene shit about a cancer patient specifically to outrage decent people who’d rush in to defend her. However, his actual goal was to create an opening for truly nasty internet trolls to then pile on.
This Jaxon person has a problem with women- it’s clear that he feels that he’s in a one-down position to every woman who ever walked the face of the earth, and he’s going to act as if men not understand (listening? caring?) for individual women is the real issue (and apparently this is enough to cause every man he meets to be bathed in misery and existential crisis) - even though the feminists Ive studied usually very carefully differentiated between men and systematically excluded women being their focus. My point is, Jaxon is entitled to his opinion; because he doesn’t want to do a deep dive into the complex, complicated fields of study that include sexuality/attraction, (for instance, you could enjoy elaborate BDSM scenes but not actually desire masked bandits to break into your home and make you their slave for an evening IRL), feminism, and behavioral psychology, for starters.
His intensity suggests that he takes the perceived slights/unfairness of it all very personally, and he’s so angry that I can’t imagine him being able to hide the rage emanating from him when he’s in the company of a woman he is attracted to, especially if she isn’t overly impressed by his shtick.
So, let him. First thing that happens when you make new friends is that they look for you online.
