A lot of comments made me have a lot of feelings too.

I'm really trying to make the point that political opinions really start forming in childhood; poor children are future voters, and when adults who loudly identify as one party or another act in a way that seems to delight in the misfortune of a child, because of the political persuasion of the parents, it makes a lasting impression.

I think we can do better. Little pitchers have big ears. And eyes. And feelings.
