MAGA is a political movement, and it was very effective. I don't enjoy it, as they are heavily armed (in my state, they shoot off firearms at the grocery story parking lot where they stand and then get on the news!) and don't like me, a healthcare advocate for the poor, but, it is what it is.
MAGA families have children, who don't enjoy being poor, and don't enjoy being shunned. They will remember people who treated their family badly when they turn voting age. They will also remember/find out if there were benefits available and their parents didn't apply, or, if their Republican officials just didn't care enough to provide SNAP.
You can reach them with empathy, kindness, and small things NOW. I would have been engaged 20 years sooner than I was had this been the case.
I'm greatly concerned that Trump will run, and perhaps win in 2024. I live in New Hampshire, a primary swing state, and there are signs for him everywhere. He has a great shot at winning.
