Thank you for your reply.

I have nothing but respect and appreciation for the work you are doing.

I have to say, however, I have seen a lot of mainstream articles published revealing joy that COVID deniers have gotten serious COVID or even died.

While it's understandable to feel anger at the stupidity of it, it leaves children in hundreds of thousands of debt (we don't have universal health care and this group is more likely to be uninsured, due to their belief system, and that debt is their only inheritance) and without any income, on top of the trauma of losing one or two parents.

Going into the foster system is also traumatic. It's not this kid's fault that his parents made these choices. Now s/he may be seperated from their siblings forever, no more home/family and dead parents. His morbidity rate is shooting skyward now. He may even believe if only his parents had gotten Ivermectin.

Do you see what I mean. Only kindness and education are going to help this child. But one hint of "your parents were stupid and this was deserved" and s/he's a MAGA forever.

Wishes she had a gong, like on The Gong Show, but for stupid ideas (especially her own). Please don’t ask me what I think if you don’t want to know.
