This is really important. You are absolutely correct. Do you have any suggestions/a script for survivors of childhood abuse who are frequently told their “poor mother did the best she could” who know full well how they spent their childhood (terrified and terrorized)? Because saying truthful yet unflattering things about your parents pretty much makes everyone (particularly if they are parents) hate and distrust you. It’s taboo.
