Ummm…if you behaved like this towards a child, and then your husband, and thought it was “no big deal” perhaps you are a person who believes that people who have less power than you should just “suck it up” bc what else would/could they do? You didn’t really care/notice until she didn’t play your reindeer games and wouldn’t do what you wanted (come to your house and listen to you moan about Dad). Sending her idiotic unfunny mom texts is just going to annoy her, it’s spam. Did you do the “parent apology “ of ‘ I am not perfect I never said I was I did my best there’s no book on being a parent and you survived/turned out alright didn’t you?!” routine? When children believe a spouse had reason to cheat it generally means that the cheated-on spouse was pretty unpleasant to be around. Are you unpleasant?
