Well…in purity culture (how evangelicals raise children), which is grooming for rape culture, due to the combination of patriarchal hierarchy requiring complete domination by the highest ranking (older males) combined with female virginity, girls are truly expected to choose death over rape/coercion if they’re not married to a man. That’s truly the reason they don’t “believe” in sexual abuse. If you had an honor or loved Jebus, you’d choose death over being sexually compromised.
