What if it’s more he sees the way you LOOK at your husband - in an intangible way that says “we belong together as a little family” that is what he wants?
For example - As someone who has a really awful family of origin, I look at adult women my age who have mothers/fathers who actually care about them and ache. At least this guy has a chance to co-create a meaningful relationship with a partner!
